One such business process which is common across all industries is approval workflows. These approvals can be for several scenarios. However, most ERP systems only focus on the most generic scenarios, thus not being able to cater to your needs for very specific scenario. This is where Power Automate comes in and bridges the gap.
Here, we have automated the process of equipment requests where an employee can either request for a new equipment or repair of an existing equipment using a Power App. The request logged into Power App triggers an approval flow and email is automatically sent to the approver who can approve or reject along with comments within the email itself. Then the PO is automatically generated and sent to the vendor.
When the equipment arrives at the warehouse, the app allows the warehouse staff to update the status as “arrived”. Similarly, once it is released to an employee, the warehouse staff can update that in the app too.
